Michelle is an E-RYT200 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) whose teaching style is inspired by the curiosity of how our bodies are different from each other. She is heavily influenced by the principles of Sukha (comfort) and Sthira (effort) during our asana practice and values the work in the slightest of movements. Her practice is focused on mindful and intentional actions and thoughts that allow a pose to meet you.

In addition to teaching in studio spaces, Michelle also teaches meditation and yoga to specialized groups: seniors, long-term care residents, youth, physiotherapy clients, emergency personnel and private groups.

Michelle's demanding corporate career as a Project Manager led her to pursue a balance between doing things for others and finding a sense of calm within herself. In this quest, she has also became an Usui Reiki Master and certified Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra ® instructor.

Michelle also practices Thai Massage and is a co-founder of Bija Yoga Training.

    One hour of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of four hours of sleep – and we all need more sleep!

    If this sounds like something your body is calling for, treat yourself or a friend to this session. There are no yoga postures in this class and no experience is needed. As you are guided through this Yoga Nidra practice, you will feel a deep sense of relaxation and release. All you need to do is lie back comfortably and Michelle will guide you to a state of complete relaxation.

    In this workshop, you’ll learn what Yoga Nidra is and the various benefits of it.

    You'll restore you body and sense through a 2 hour practice that will leave you feeling completely blissed out and ready for a fabulous night's sleep. Time will fly and you wish you could stay longer. Ahhhhh

    Just bring a yoga mat. All other props will be supplied.

    Join us for Parent and Tween Yoga Class!
     Between the ages of 9-12, children go through huge mental & physical developmental changes that can sometimes lead to anxiety, insecurities and may lead to losing connection with one or both parents. In this interactive 3 week series, Michelle Compas will guide you through a comprehensive practice that includes 45 minutes of Yoga to ground and centre followed by a 45 minute healing circle with guided meditation, stress management and sharing experiences with each other. Each day is structured around specific topics to help you and your Tween navigate through common challenges and to find a safe place to reconnect.
    These classes will be held during sunset to deepen the experience in the beautiful pink and purple sunshine glow from our large windows. A breathtaking view!
     When: Sundays, November 4, November 18, December 2

    Investment to reconnect: $120 per pair, $60 for each additional Tween
