Michelle

Michelle is an E-RYT200 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) whose teaching style is inspired by the curiosity of how our bodies are different from each other. She is heavily influenced by the principles of Sukha (comfort) and Sthira (effort) during our asana practice and values the work in the slightest of movements. Her practice is focused on mindful and intentional actions and thoughts that allow a pose to meet you.

In addition to teaching in studio spaces, Michelle also teaches meditation and yoga to specialized groups: seniors, long-term care residents, youth, physiotherapy clients, emergency personnel and private groups.

Michelle's demanding corporate career as a Project Manager led her to pursue a balance between doing things for others and finding a sense of calm within herself. In this quest, she has also became an Usui Reiki Master and certified Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra ® instructor.

Michelle also practices Thai Massage and is a co-founder of Bija Yoga Training.

    This two hour workshop with Michelle Compas (E-RYT) will explore how different yoga practices can be powerful tools to invite happiness over the busy holidays. You’ll learn techniques that will help you stay even-keeled during what can be hectic times.


    We will practice and learn skills that will support you to radiate positivity over the holidays.
    Learn some ways to take charge of your life in the fresh, new year feeling positive and happy!

     

    TECHNIQUES COVERED DURING THIS WORKSHOP PRACTICE INCLUDE:


    • Meditation - an introspective chakra meditation practice to the sounds of singing bowls that will tap into and unblock your energy centres

    • Self-Reflection - through guided inquiries, identify your stress triggers and discover how to mitigate them before you feel overwhelmed

    • Candlelight Yoga - a gentle practice that will leave your heart, body and mind feeling happy and fulfilled

    • Yoga Nidra - a soothing and blissful practice that will leave you feeling rested and ready for anything

     

    This is a workshop suitable for anyone – regardless of experience.
